Courtney Carter is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT).
She earned her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.
Courtney has a natural ability to join with clients and families of all ages, structures and demographics, resulting in optimal understanding and comprehension of presenting issues. She has experience working as an in-home therapist for KVC Family Preservation and the Missouri Department of Family Services.
Courtney also has multiple years of law enforcement experience, which provides a unique outlook and perspective regarding mental health and substance abuse, domestic violence and other criminal conduct. She uses Structural Family Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy, Systemic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral and Emotionally Focused techniques.
